Specialized Training Customs

On December 4-5, 2025, a practical training on combating human trafficking was conducted for employees of the State Customs Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was held with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek. 15 employees of the customs service participated in the training.

The participants reviewed the specifics of the crime of "human trafficking" and studied the role of customs authorities in its detection and suppression. We also discussed the interaction of government agencies within the framework of the National Mechanism for Redirecting Victims of Human Trafficking, which helped us understand how the actions of border guards can help protect citizens.

The training provided practical skills in identifying risks, analyzing situations, and responding to possible cases of human trafficking. The acquired knowledge strengthened the knowledge of the customs service staff in working together with law enforcement and social structures to increase security at the state border.
