GUBK employees revealed illegal exemption from VAT on import of medicines

Employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Smuggling of the State Customs Service revealed the fact of illegal exemption from VAT on the import of medicines from Pakistan to LLC "M.P.". The total weight of the batch was 940 kg.
During the customs control, it was established that the representative of LLC M.P. declared the goods using the VAT exemption provided for by Cabinet Resolution No. 539 of August 29, 2025. However, an additional check showed that this benefit was applied unlawfully, since the drugs Klarion (Clarithromycin) and Clopid ASP 75 (Clopidogrel + acetylsalicylic acid) are not included in the list of medicines exempt from VAT.
The amount of illegally released VAT amounted to 489,820 soms.
The materials on this fact have been transferred to the MBK Investigation Department. As a result of the investigation, 634,335 soms were recovered from the state budget.
